2 couples with 2 dogs. Well stocked and clean 2 bdrm unit. Short walk to Gondola & River Run lift. Very convenient to take dogs out for playtime in the snow. Kitchen has plenty of pans and utensils for up to six people. Very clean. Only complaint ... electrical outlets need updating and no smart TVs. Cable only. Staff is very friendly. Jacuzzi just outside front door. No noise issues.

I stayed here with 2 other friends for a week. The place was comfortable, the location excellent and the staff and owner kind and helpful. We had a non-renovated unit and it was just fine. The kitchen was well-stocked. When we come back we’d stay here again.

This was our third time staying at Pennay's and we love it! The condo is always clean, comfortable and cozy. You can't beat the location either. Space for our dog to roam right next to the property and a nice little walk to the river. We'll be back for sure.

This was our 4th year at Pennay’s and it is the best location and experience around . You arrive to your condo and walk right in the door with the heat on and a setting that’s right next to the river and the River Run Lodge. It’s a short walk to the lifts and you’re skiing right outside your back door... which is a rare treat in Sun Valley. You’re also a short walk to the little town of Ketchum for shopping,groceries or any of your skiing needs. For us Pennays and the staff and experience mad us stetch our trip from 2 wks...3wks. & now the last two years we stay 1 Mon th and are already booked for next year. Long story short it’s a place you want to come back to!

Our group of grandparents, parents, and grandkids had a fabulous Sun Valley summer stay. Rode the gondola and chair to the top of baldy and fished the Big Wood,both within a short walk from our back door. Walked to town for some great meals and shopping. Pennays has always been our favorite in the winter for skiing and now in the summer!

We had a great time the unit was close to town and next to the river!

The location of unit #19 is just the best! It's right on the end of the complex, abutting beautiful public open space and the river. The unit is a little outdated in a pleasant 80's ski condo vibe and it has some unusual lighting configurations, but that was fine by us because we wanted a dog-friendly condo right next to park areas.

We have stayed here many times over the years and keep coming back for the fabulous location, and nice people who run Pennays. Scant supplies if you are any kind of a cook (I have learned to bring what I need)...but things are always clean and if a problem arises they are quick to solve the issue. Already booked for next year!!

We had the best weekend in Ketchum! Pennay’s was clean and well kept. The furnishings were dated, but in great condition. The location was perfect and we would love to come back during ski season! The kids had fun in the hot tub and we loved hanging on the picnic tables chatting and watching them play. There were a few dogs with other guests, they all seemed to get along and it was a fun experience in the courtyard with guests sitting on their decks. Overall a great place.

We arrived not knowing what to expect having just completed a 10 weeks of our 12 week around the world ski odyssey including Val d'Isere in France and Whistler in Canada among other areas.
The best complement I can give is that of all the places we have stayed on our journeys Pennay's at River Run is the one place we would love to make our own. The design of the property is near perfect with plenty of storage and space, the facilities were not over the top but provided for absolutely every thing we needed. The location could not be better with the property being the closest to the ski lifts and day lodge, but also secluded in it's own woodland setting adjacent to the river set back just enough so the gentle sound of the river could just be heard from the balcony's. The premises were constructed in 1978 and have been maintained in excellent condition and upgraded to modern standards where required, but are old school in interior design. The units were very well cleaned when we arrived. The the two words I would use for a description of Pennay's are Relaxed Comfort.
The next time we travel to Sun Valley to ski I would choose Pannay's first, knowing I was getting an apartment that I would be very conformable staying in.

We've stayed at Pennay's every fall (17 years) to attend the Sun Valley Jazz and Music Festival. We love Alan's hospitality, the location, the easy walk to River Run Lodge,the stunning beauty of Aspens outside our condo unit, and so much more. The condos are designed well, the kitchen is equipped with the necessary equipment including wine glasses, and the gas-log fireplace provides warmth and ambiance. We definitely recommend Pennay's at River Run!

The unit was perfect for us. Beautiful surroundings and clean, comfortable space. The only disappointing thing was the early checkout. For the cost of the unit, checkout should be noon, not 10 am.

Great location to town and to Sun Valley! Owner was very nice and accommodating. We did see quite a few earwigs and I wouldn't let my kids sleep on the top bunk because it has no railing and the ladder is not connected to the bed in any way. We would stay again!

We stayed in this unit over July 4th. Unit was clean and layout was great. Plenty of space. Management was friendly and overall the vibe of Pennay's is easygoing and all smiles. Would definitely stay here again.

Pennay's is a great place to stay if you are visiting Ketchum (Sun Valley). The condo we stayed in was newly updated, immaculate and very comfortable. The staff was welcoming and very attentive. The location was terrific...close to the River Run base and a short walk to town. The price was reasonable. We would absolutely stay at Pennay's again.

A clean, spacious, well-furnished condo unit, ideal for walking to the lift or to Ketchum's restaurants and shops. Pennay's staff even picked us up at the Hailey airport!

My family spent a wonderful holiday weekend at Pennay's. The unit had a great lay-out, plenty of natural light filtering in, and plenty of outdoor living space to spill over to. Best of all is the location, just yards from the river, Baldy and the greenbelt and only a 10-minute walk to town.

Great location steps from River Run Lodge via a scenic trail along the river. Beautiful area. Rooms were clean, updated, and well appointed.

We had a wonderful time. Unit 15 was very nice. Comfortable space for lounging and had what we needed for meals. It was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the location was fantastic for skiing. We skied/walked the short Pennay’s trail each day which was very convenient. The bonus was when they offered to take us and our luggage by sled down the path so we could catch the bus to airport. Would love to visit this place again.

Skiing Sun Valley from Pennay’s is the best.

Pennay’s is wonderful! Old school fabulous. The location was perfect and our unit #15 was even better than we expected! Not like a rental, but a home. Very clean, comfortable and beautiful. There was everything we needed in the kitchen and bedrooms. Hot tub was right out the sliding door and the views were amazing! Plus we got to meet Mr. Pennay! One of the highlights of our trip. We will definitely return!

My husband had a meeting in Ketchum and we wanted to bring our dog. Pennay's is perfect. The property is just as pictured. Living is comfortable, beds are comfortable, a variety of pillows (very important to me - not sure how you can sleep without comfortable pillows). Kitchen is updated. We were in unit 15 which is close to the hot tub, close to the open field and the path to the river and the ski resort and trails. Also very close to the Wood River Trail, a walking and biking paved trail. We met the owner - Alan is in his 80s and still doing routine maintenance on the property! All is kept up impeccably.

Pennay’s is very close to River Run Lodge. Quiet with a secluded feel, it’s within easy walking or biking distance to downtown Ketchum.

Everything was perfect. The condo was comfortable and well-appointed. Alan is an extremely hospitable host. It is perfectly situated at the mountain base for easy access to skiing and is a short drive (or even walk) into downtown Ketchum. We highly recommend this great place to stay central to everything you could need

Highlight of our summer. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and ready for us. There was some repair work going on next door that affected our cabin. A little inconvenient, but worked out.

We recently stayed in Unit 15 for our first visit to Ketchum, and had a great time! The property is very close to town (although it's quite an uphill walk - we rented e-bikes!) and right along the bike path and river. So beautiful and quiet. The condo was well equipped which made it easy with our two young children. We would definitely return! Thank you!
