Pennay's Unit 6

We love the location, close to the lifts and very comfortable. Some of the other units have been updated, but we were very comfortable in Unit 6. We were just happy there was a condo available for our dates!

When we had new snow they cleared our cars off! We will be back again.

Pennay's is an ideal location. We walked everywhere. River Run lodge was an easy walk from our condo. We walked to Ketchum for dinners and the grocery store.

Short and beautiful walk along the river to Bald Mountain base. Can be easily done carrying ski equipment. Short drive into town center. Well maintained and comfortable apartments. Decor is dated if you care about that. We had a great stay.

The condo was well appointed and comfortable. The location is perfect for skiing, within easy walking distance to River Run 's also a reasonable walk to the center of Ketchum. The one disappointment was the hot tub was broken and not usable.

We were lucky to find Pennays after a VRBO cancelled on us. I wasn’t sure how my 12 and 14 year olds would sleep in the bunks. They loved them and slept great. (Probably not great for anyone taller than 5’5”). Kitchen supplies just Ok. We were overall very happy.

This one bedroom condo is perfect. Comfortable and walking distance to the mountain. We did not use the spa. It is outside.

We rented for a month. The people were great, very friendly, very efficient apartment, great internet, good cell coverage in the area. Can walk to town, can walk to river run lift. We knew our unit was about to be updated, so we knew we were the last to stay in it before the remodel. All was as expected.

This is a wonderful little place to stay. The location is perfect — right on the main hike and bike trail and a very short and easy walk to downtown Ketchum. Cheri May, the manager, provides excellent and very personal help. The vibe is casual and friendly. The property is a bit old, but very clean and well-maintained. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone wanting to take advantage of all that Ketchum has to offer.

Pennay's has pretty much what you need for a ski stay -- ample space, kitchen, gas fireplace, outdoor hot tub, etc.

The "ski in, ski out" label is a bit of a stretch, but that's often the case. With Pennay's, you can walk a couple of hundred yards to the lift, with skis or without, but you have to take your skis off to cross the river. On the way back, you can ride the "sleigh" (snowmobile) which is pictured on the web site under "ski in, ski out", suggesting that skiing to the snowmobile qualifies.

Only other note is that the unit has "instant hot water" -- a small holding tank that quickly replenishes. It takes 3 of these (waiting about 10 minutes each time) to fill the bathtub in the unit if you'd like to take a bath.

My wife and I had a great time during our stay at Pennay's. The unit was lovely, a good size for the two of us and our dog. Everything you need is there including plenty of storage space in the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen. The location can't be beat. Very close to Big Wood River and Bald Mountain and an easy walk to town. We would definitely stay here again.

Very pleased with eclipse glasses and practical information brochures and maps that we received. Accomodation itself was spacious, very nice and was perfect for our needs.
Practical arrangements for late arrival and early leave were perfect. We also appreciated the personal welcome the morning after our arrival.

Staying at Pennay's is like visiting family in a beautiful mountain resort. You instantly feel at home in the cozy space and you have everything you need if you want to stay in and cook or go out on the town. Not fancy, but totally cozy. I loved my stay and will definitely go again.

We continue to enjoy our stays at Pennays..we have been coming to Pennays for many years and hope to continue..the "walk to town" location is superb and we love the proximity to the river.
